We have come to the conclusion that the organization structure that would be the most effective for Graybar is the Network organizational structure. Some of the problems that were recognized when evaluating the organization include but are not limited to the following: a lack of synergy and resources between branches and a lack of an effective quoting/reporting tool that can be used across the company. The implementation of SAP would help increase the efficacy of Graybar’s business and also help in creating synergy between branches. Graybar operates in an industry that has a lot of competition. The company would need to differentiate itself from its competitors in order to enter a “blue ocean”, which will help separate it from the competition.
